I'm in the market for a new list of web developers (HTML5 preferred, PHP, JScript, etc.). Mostly webpages with limited back-end needs (ie, I don't need DBMs too often, nor any platform builders, though all of that is added value if ya got it).

A firm understanding of wireframes (esp. those built in Photoshop) is a must.

Decent knowledge of social media platforms, interfaces, APIs, etc, also a plus.

Individual contracting only (ehem, freelancing). I'm looking for OGers first and foremost, then maybe friend referrals. Location not a factor but ability and willingness to phone/webconference (at no cost to you) is needed.

I'm happy for a lot of things in my life today, but there is one thing added to that list.

I'm also happy that there is now a game coming out, that all of us can get back together on. I know some of us had our differences in the past, but people grow up and move on and forgive. Now, we can be back somewhere that made us all a family in the first place....

The OG family, is finally back in Star Wars.

I'm thankful for this community, and thankful for the friends that have come out of it.

I'm thankful for SB and SG for running this for so many years, so that all of us did have a refuge to turn to.

I only hope that it goes on for another eight or so years.

Should I Sell My Ps3?

All I use it for is the Blu-Ray ability, but I can buy one of those for $60. Assuming I can get more than that for an original "fat" PS3 that I upgraded the HD to 250GB. I use the XBox 99% of the time to play games...

I have no other experience with a Blu-Ray player other than the PS3, I hear the PS3 is the best. Any experience with this?

Upgaded Forum To V3.2.2

Upgraded the forum software just now to the latest 3.2.2(we were on 3.2.0) some performance updates and some security patches.

Since the release of IP.Board 3.2 a few months ago, our immediate focus has been on fixing the bugs that have been reported and making fairly frequent releases to our customers. We're thrilled that IP.Board 3.2 has been a huge success and we've received a lot of feedback which we've enjoyed reading.

Now that the initial wave of bug fixes have been made, we've found the time to add in some functionality based on feedback from our customers. Here are some of the IP.Board enhancements that have gone in for 3.2.3.

HTML Emails
This has been a very popular request for a long time now and we've included this into 3.2.3. By default it is off, but you can enable it from the Email settings page in the admin control panel. This will also resolve issues with non Latin characters, right to left languages and more.
The HTML email wrapper is fully editable via the Look & Feel templates as normal and it automagically converts the current plain text templates into HTML so you don't need to change anything!

Import a URL Photo
We've had a fair number of requests for a simpler way to import a photo so we've included the ability to import a photo from a URL when in the photo editor. This copies the image to the forums server so it can be checked (to make sure it's actually an image!) and to create the thumbnail copy.

Editor Improvements
IP.Board 3.2.0 introduced a brand new editor and it really is one of the most complex areas of the software (no, really!). We've put a lot of focus into squashing those annoying BBCode bugs. We've also gone ahead and added the auto-save and 'toggle mode' functionality for editors in the admin control panel.

Of course, there are also numerous other bug fixes and improvements including more efficient Sphinx index building, iPad compatibility and more!

Football Game Sign Ignites Racial Tension

PAINESVILLE, Ohio—Kirtland crushed Painesville Harvey during Friday night's high school football game, but it was what happened after the game that has people talking.

"At the conclusion of the game, some of their students and parents put up a sign that we believe was racial intimidation, ethnic intimidation," said Roderick Coffee, president of the Lake County chapter of the NAACP, who was also at the game.

"For them to put it up there that was bad sportsmanship, too," Painesville Harvey football player, Jerome Becks said.

The big sign read: 'You Mad Bro.'

"I think the reference to 'bro' in the sign definitely has a racial connection to it," said Michael Hanlon, superintendent for Painesville City Schools.

No doubt, the sign offended people.

But some don't believe it was meant to be racist.

"I really don't I think the kids were just trying to say, 'Are you mad?' But you still don't need to put a sign up like that, and there's so many parents that felt the same way I did," Kirtland parent, Edie Cymbal said.

According to the Urban Dictionary, which is basically the online Wikipedia of slang, the phrase 'you mad bro?' means "To make a ragin [sic] person rage even more by asking the most ironic question."

To use an older slang phrase, kicking someone when they are down.

Kirtland High School Principal Lynn Campbell says there will be a thorough investigation.

"Any mal-intent at any game no matter where, is not supported, you know, the lack of sportsmanship, from taunting to insensitivity," Campbell said.
